Why Love Island fans think Lachie fumbled the first night
A ghosting reunion, a Geordie bombshell and a scolding from Sophie Monk on premiere night in Fiji
Love Island Australia season 8 opened on 26 October with ten singles in the Fiji villa, and two of them already had history, Nine's premiere recap shows.
Natalie, 23, from the Gold Coast, recognised the first boy in. "He ghosted me," she said of Jack, 24. They still kissed, and became the season's first couple.
Then the bombshell walked in
Ava, 24, a Geordie living in Perth, chose Lachie, 26, for a Hideaway date. Lachie was coupled with Shawnee, 27, and went without so much as a hug for his partner. "Have some respect," Shawnee said, and Sophie Monk scolded Lachie for it.
