Why fans think the Power Couples played their first card cruelly

The Power Couples made their first move on Love Island Australia on Thursday's episode, and it ended with the season's first Islander dumped, Nine reports.

No boy stood for Amanda at the firepit, so Sophie Monk sent her to the Power Room. Two boy bombshells had just arrived: Jordan, 24, from Canberra, picked Layla, and Zel picked Phoebe, leaving Oli and Jarrar single.

Why does it sting?

Kye and Yana, last season's winners, made Amanda safe, then handed her the hardest job in the villa: couple up with one of the single boys and send the other home. Reality Recap reports Natalie called it selfish.

Amanda chose Oli, and Jarrar became the first Islander dumped from the villa. Nine says he left with a bromance with the boys.
