Is Big Brother in ratings trouble?
A breakfast show beat it on Monday night, and one columnist says the twists are coming early

Big Brother drew 431,000 viewers nationally on Monday 2 November, just under the 433,000 who watched Seven's breakfast show Sunrise that morning, TV Tonight and TV Blackbox both report.
For a show that runs six nights a week on Network 10, the numbers decide how hard producers push the game.
How bad is it?
TV Blackbox's Robert McKnight writes that the season is down 35% on last year, and that Thursday's nominations show fell below 395,000.
Who is winning instead?
TV Tonight reports Love Island Australia topped all viewing among 16 to 39 year olds, mostly through streaming, with Big Brother fourth in that group. My Kitchen Rules led the night overall with 1.21 million.
Will it come back next year?
Nobody has said it won't. McKnight cites unnamed sources who say producer Endemol Shine is worried about 2027. Network 10 has not commented on that.
What changes now?
McKnight's sources expect the house to get busier: "Intruders are likely to be sent into the house much sooner than planned, along with twists that can drive engagement and conversation."
