# Deleting your account

> What happens when you delete, and how to do it.

The Delete account link is at the bottom of Settings. To confirm, type delete.

When you delete your account:

- You're signed out on every device.
- Your comments are taken down and your activity leaves every feed.
- Your name and details are erased for good after a short grace period.

If you only want a break, Log out or turn off notifications instead.
